Building safety information packs
As part of our new Resident Engagement Strategy, we’ve put together tailored Building Safety Information packs. They’ve been designed for everyone who lives in a building that is 18 metres (6 storeys) tall.
The booklet has been sent to all eligible customers as part of our legal duty as a landlord to ensure our buildings are safe, and we also want to make sure you feel safe in your home too. This should also be shared with anyone aged 16 and over in your home to ensure that they are familiar with the safety advice.
It includes details on the fire evacuation strategy for your building, how to raise concerns and share issues and have your say on safety decisions.
Here is a list of everything that is included in the booklet, which is tailored to your building:
- Contact details for your dedicated Property Safety Manager and their responsibilities
- How we’ll communicate with you to keep you updated
- Our responsibilities as your landlord and how we will keep your building safe
- Fire safety advice to help you prevent a fire in your home
- Information on what to do if there is a fire in your building.
Get involved
We want to involve you in our projects and decision making and welcome and appreciate your feedback on how we can make your building feel safer to you.
Your Building Safety Information Booklet includes details on the different ways you can share your views.
Daniel Simpson, Head of Enhanced Housing Management at A2Dominion, said: “These resident engagement strategies include key information to help keep residents and anyone in their homes safe.
“Resident engagement is part of our commitment to follow legislation and we want to ensure that residents feel comfortable approaching us to share their views and ideas about where they live.
“We hope that this is the start of positive new ways of working to engage more with our residents in the decision-making process for their buildings.”
