We held a community event on Wednesday 20th December at the Orchard Café on the Green Man Lane estate, with colleagues and volunteers helping to deliver, pack and distribute 750kg worth of food packages, including fresh fruit and vegetables, pre-prepared meals and savoury snacks.
We also distributed clothes, books, and hygiene products, which were well received by those who attended. Our Community Investment team was also on hand to provide advice and raise awareness of the support that is available.
Adama is one of our customers who lives in Ealing and volunteers at the local Orchard Café’. She said: “Some people in the community have big families and are single parents and now the cost of living is very hard. This will really help them.”
Dele Ryder, Partnership and Fundraising Manager at A2Dominion, said: “Our partnership with The Felix Project has helped us to support so many people this year and we are incredibly proud of everyone who has taken part. We know times remain tough for so many people and we will do everything we can to continue to raise awareness and support future projects for those who need it most.”
Last year we spent £1.3m on community investment activities, supporting more than 5,800 customers through a range of projects including training, financial advice and employment. We’re teaming up again with The Felix Project from 11am on Wednesday 27th December at the Orchard Café, Singapore Road, London, W13 0EP. A third event is planned at the same venue on Wednesday 3rd January. Local customers are welcome to join the event. Read more about how we’re supporting our customers and local communities.
